Does anyone know anything about this inn? It looks wonderful on the website but the only review on tripadvisor is VERY negative. Has anyone else ever been here???
Has anyone been to the Roanoke Island Inn or the Tranquil House Inn? Are they quaint or kitschy?
Burrus House Inn
I have stayed at the Burrus House Inn several times- in a couple different waterfront suites.... Let me tell you how FANTASTIC it was. There is nothing else on the island that even comes close to that. The rooms are stunning, incredibly clean, comfortable, upscale... and you can%26#39;t beat the view.
I have no idea why there were negative reviews posted about this place.... unless those guests were looking for someone to come and specifcally cater to them 24 hours a day. That%26#39;s probably what I liked most about the inn - they promptly check you in, give you a quick overview of the place, leave you with instructions on how to get in touch with them if needed, and then they leave you alone! (Isn%26#39;t that what you want when you%26#39;re trying to relax and rejuvenate on a vacation?)
Expensive? Yes. But for me - it is worth every penny!
