North Carolina Road Trip

We%26#39;re considering a road trip in North Carolina. Would love to stop in Asheville to see Biltmore. Would also like to fly into one airport, and out of another, (no back tracking!) This trip would take place in late Sept, early Oct.--and we would have one week. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

North Carolina Road Trip

I suggest flying into Ashville, NC. Spend 2/3 days there. Drive slowly on the Blue Ridge Parkway to the Boone/ Blowing Rock NC area for 3 nights/ 2 days. It is a beautiful ride and great destination. Departing the Smokey Mountains, head towards Charlotte. If you are interested in wine, the North Carolina Yadkin Valley is so interesting. It is amazing what NC is doing with the old tobacco farms. Spend a day in Charlotte and depart for home. Antiques, art, crafts, beautiful scenery and warm, welcoming locals. What else could you ask for????
