Trip Report Nov 23 - 25

We were able to take a quick trip to Maggie Valley Nov 23 - 25. It was in the 30%26#39;s and low 40%26#39;s Friday and Saturday, all day! Me, my wife and our 2 kids took my sister-in-law and 2 nieces, planning to ride the Polar Express in Bryson City on Saturday.

We rode into Waynesville Friday evening, walking on Main St.. Stopping in for some fresh ground kona coffee, the to Nick %26amp; Nates Pizza. It%26#39;s pretty good, but most pizza is good unless it%26#39;s frozen. Not really worth waiting 45 minutes, but the SIL wanted to wait.

Went Christmas tree shooping at Boyd%26#39;s Christmas Tree Farm and Cabin Rentals Saturday. We LOVE this place! It%26#39;s great fun walking around to find the right tree. They cut it %26amp; trim it for you, wrap it in a net %26amp; tie it to the top of your car while you have hot chocolate %26amp; donuts in a warm tent.

Tha night we went to Bryson City to get on the Polar Express excursion of the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. It was super and I wrote a review here...

Sunday we got up to clean the house, turn off the water, turn down the heat. Then we went to Dillsboro on the way home for lunch. We ate at the Dillsoboro Smokehouse BBQ. The food was great, we were all happy. We walked over Bradley%26#39;s General Store to look around, then hit the road going home.

All in all, a great trip.
