Looking for best secluded beach/oceanfront home

I will be celebrating my 40th birthday in April 2008 and am trying to find the best oceanfront home with perfect beach in Outer Banks. Never been to Outer Banks and know nothing about it. We have been researching the Hatteras Island area (Avon, Buxton, specifically) but want to make sure that in April, is a good place for us to be. Looking for quiet time to spend with family, older adults. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Secluded is not something available on the Outer Banks but that time of year you likely to find a place with few neighbors and small crowds . April is when thing start to open again for the season the water will too cold so don%26#39;t look to swim much Avon is a good place to stay plenty of Restaurants stores and there is a Food Lion there too.
