Greetings all,
We are thinking of ';getting away'; from the Atlanta area so we can show our 2-year old some snow!
Neither of us are skiers but we might take in the tubing place. I saw that it has a ';Wee'; tubing area; anyone know if this is appropriate for 2-year old?
Also, any recommendations for places with cabins that have playgrounds/kids stuff on-site or close by?
Thanks!

Hey Boos,
Sorry it took me so long to respond. I%26#39;ve been away from the computer for a few days.
Tony%26#39;s Tube World is across the road from Ghost Town (which is closed for the season). It has the normal tubing slopes with the moving carpet to take you to the top.
It also has the smaller slopes for little ones. I let my 4 year old daugher play on it a few years back. It%26#39;s very small, maybe 6%26#39;-8%26#39; high with gentle slopes. One aduly can take the child up and the other can wait at the bottom to catch them. It%26#39;s very gentle and I can%26#39;t think of a reason to fear it.
Their website says the wee-play area is not always open and you should call ahead. The website is:

Hope you have a great time!

Brad,
Thanks for the info. It sounds like my son would enjoy the small slope. Also, do you know if the main restaurants (such as Maggie Valley Restaurant and Joey%26#39;s) are open year-round? We are going at the end of February.
Cheers!
Apologies again for the delay in answering. I%26#39;m back in the regular routine again now...LOL.
Joey%26#39;s Pancake House closes February and March, and re-opens April 5.
The Maggie Valley Restaurant is Open May through October.
J. Arthur%26#39;s Restaurant is open year-round and has great steak %26amp; seafood.
You%26#39;ll find many dining oportunities in Waynesville, too. It%26#39;s just a couple miles form Maggie Valley.
Have a great trip!
Brad,
Thanks again. Sorry we will miss Maggie%26#39;s and Joey%26#39;s but that just means we%26#39;ll have to go back when they are open. RIght now the most important thing is snow. We%26#39;ll just be sure to stop by the restaurant that *is* open, as well as take groceries with us when we leave Atlanta.
Cheers!
