When to visit?

I am giving my mom a trip to Asheville for a Christmas gift. When would be the best time to schedule the trip between Feb. and April? I would like to avoid Easter if at all possible.

When to visit?

Late April is wonderful. Wild flowers and trees are blooming in the mountains. Weather is nice.

When to visit?

Roll the dice and hope for the best. The weather could be fabulous and shirt sleeves in late March, and then the first week in April shivering in rain (if the drought ever ends). A few things start blooming in February (Forsythia, crocuses, etc) in Asheville city and it escalates from there. (Of course if you go up into higher mountains, less is blooming). Asheville in April is wonderful if you don%26#39;t have pollen allergies!

Good point about allergies in April. If they are not an issue, April is a great time. February will be cold (though probably bearable coming from Ohio), and nothing will be blooming.
