Carolina/Kure BeachThe courtyard by marriott is the real only ';hotel'; on Pleasure Island... There are lots of condo places that would rent for the weekend... I don%26#39;t really have any particular recommendations on that though... Sorry.
Carolina/Kure BeachOcean Dunes at Ft Fisher is great and Sea Colony at Carolina beach is nice and Bullard REalty is a good realtor.
We have stayed at Ocean Dunes in Ft. Fisher - and used Bullard Realty for that condo. Great Place!
They may have some available for just a few days.

Ocean Dunes at Ft Fisher just below kure beach is great, Sea Colony at Carolina Beach is very nice condos and Atlantic Towers is nice. Ocean Dunes is still open for some units call walker realty at kure beach nc to ask about openings.
I stayed at Sea Colony 23B in July. Well I would not stay there again. Our unit was not very nice. The entry door was not secure the door knob needed replaced, the carpet was horrible, the sink need replaced, and the whole place was dirty!!!! The only nice thing about it was the layout and the large oceanfront deck. Keep in mind all the units are privately owned. The beach was nasty. Hard to walk on, no shells, and pounding waves. I have been to beaches from Kill Devil Hills down to Ocean Isle Beach and all in between and Carolina Beach is the worst. In fact I can%26#39;t believe the difference between this beach and Wrightsville Beach. Wrightsville Beach is wide and flat with tons of shells. The waves ripple in, its like a different state. If you want a cheap vacation go to Carolina Beach- I guess you get what you pay for. I%26#39;ll never make this mistake again!!
Last summer we stayed at Ocean Dunes in Kure Beach. Had a wonderful time. Beautiful beach. My kids loved it.
Funny how all along the Carolina Beach./Kure Beach the beach area is different....some places nice big beach, lots of room to play, other places the tide ruins everything. Give the whole place a chance and you will find it is a great place to vacation!
You cannot judge Carolina Beach by just one small area.
Being small such as Carolina Beach is NOT the problem. The problem is this area is very run down, filthy and disgusting. Had we known this before we made a reservation at the Courtyard by Marriott (and paid $325.00/night from 8-5 to 8-9), we would definitely have not ended up here. There should be a sign posted right before you get to Carolina Beach: ';Run for your life, tourists!';
Enough said, you get the idea, Carolina Beach is not your typical family beach place to go. Hey, America is a big country, go and explore it (but not here!)
sand dunes is near the boardwalk in kure. a little pricey though for what you get. ocean dunes condos are in kure near fort fisher-quiet and reasonably prices and still close to things to do. has 3 pools, a hot tub, playground, basketball/tennis courts, fitness room, recreation center, etc. try ';www.vrbo.com'; to find a great place to stay. I found my condo there. #39640 has 2 br/2ba and is $750 for the week. mount airy, nc
