My husband, our 11 month old, and I will have a week in May to vacation. We live in DC and will want to go south where it is warmer, be near water, and have places to hike. Any places to recommend in the Outer Banks? Also any one bedroom accomodations? We don%26#39;t want to pay for a place that sleeps 14 or even six. Thank you!

You may want to read through some of the discussions on the Outer Banks forums. Here is one of the discussion topics that may help you: tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g616326-i10763-k16鈥?/a>
OBX offers a wide variety of rental homes and hotel rooms. You can rent anything from a one bedroom condo or cottage on up to the giant houses you are talking about. VRBO.com offers rental homes by owners, and you search through the rental companies as well.

Just to warn you May%26#39;s weather in OBX can be unpredicable. I%26#39;ve seen days that hit 90 in May then in other years been rainy and high in the low 60s. Still I prefer to go that time of year as it is less crowded, and easier to explore places.
