Charlotte with Kids?

My husband and I will be coming to Charlotte next week (19-23) to check out the city for a possible relocation. We will be traveling with our two preschool age daughers and want them to have fun on the trip. I found the following activities...what is worth going to, what should we skip, any other suggestions?

Stowe Botanical Gardens

Discovery Place

Lazy 5 Ranch

Charlotte at Play

ImaginOn

Tree lighting at Southpark mall

Thanksgiving parade

Thanks!

Don%26#39;t mention relocation or TA will lock the post - let me concentrate on the attractions.....not much at Stowe Gardens this time of year - at least in my opinion it%26#39;s not worth the 8.00 admission fee- now, in blooming season it%26#39;s another story!

Discovery Place will be fun for the kids.

Never been to Lazy or Charlotte at Play.

ImaginOn gets good reviews- haven%26#39;t been.

Tree Lighting is great - beautiful, lots of fun...and FREE! LOL

The Parade is a wonderful tradition and lots of fun. Also FREE! LOL

Best wishes.

Oh yes- WBT Holiday on Ice skating rink opens Nov. 21 uptown!

Lazy 5 ranch is great. In addition, the NC Zoo in Asheboro is top notch. Can%26#39;t really comment on the rest you mentioned.

How far is Ashboro?

Depends on what side of town you are on. Probably, worst case scenerio is about 1 1/2 hours, but more like 1 hour.
