my husband and I have booked a timeshare 3rd week in november. i know it will be cold. any suggestions from those who have been this time of year. we are planning one day to biltmore.

enjoy your visit, but i hope the place you are staying has no connection to the lake lure inn, we had a very bad experience there and will never return. the lake is beautiful though, and the view from chimney rock grand.

The average high and lows for that time are 63 and 41...not too bad. I would go to the Carl Sandburg house in Flat Rock. I would also take in a play at the Flat Rock Playhouse. Go to Chimney Rock State Park right there at Lake Lure. You may still see a little color in the leaves ... it is so late coming there this year. I was there last weekend and they just started to turn.

Make sure and eat on the deck at Lastrada Italian Bar and Grill over looking Lake Lure. It has a fantastic view and the food is good. For more upscale dining try Larkins.. it has a world class wine list.

Don%26#39;t forget the BRP... waterfalls around Brevard and hiking there.

Downtown Asheville is also exciting. Maybe someone can chime in on the activities there.

lastradia!!!!!!! i%26#39;ve been trying to remember the name of that restaurant for a long time. the views were great, and the food was awesome too. it was so good that it managed to take my mind off the inn for a while and i got to enjoy the evening! thanks for mentioning it.
