We are planning a ski vacation on sugar mountain during Xmas week. Has anyone ever lived in Sugartop resort. It looks beautiful, but it is on above 5000ft level. Could anyone give me a suggestion that if we can drive that high with our 2-wheel driving car(minivan). How is the road condition in winter. Thanks.

A lot of place in Banner Elk will not let you go up any steep inclines without four-wheel drive or snow chains. If the roads are clear you won%26#39;t have a problem but if their is a sudden snow storm I would try to go anywhere without chains.
