Is there a better time of the year to go to Asheville??

Is there a prettiest time, a time when there is more to do than others, a favorite season--is the Christmas season the best time to see the Biltmore because of the decorations

I%26#39;ve always thought that May and October were 2 of the prettiest months, though I don%26#39;t think the Biltmore decorates until November.

I agree- late October and early November is great. But Spring is nice too with wildflowers blooming along the Parkway.

For the Biltmore Christmas is best time for the house itself. For the grounds early May is best with everything in bloom. I also like late May and October. All seasons are nice though. Nothing like a fresh snowfall morning in the mountains.

My favorite months are May and June. Depending on elevation you have incredible wildflowers displays, rhododendrons and flame azaleas in blooms. Catawba rhododendrons and flamed azaleas during the second of June on Roan Mountain are breathtaking. This is also the best time to enjoy Biltmore when you can spend time not only visiting the chateau but gardens and grounds too. Of course, this is only my opinion. If I can have my way I would always spend May and June in the area but in October I wouldn%26#39;t want to be be anywhere but Northeast. October is delightful month too in the Asheville area but nothing compares to foliage of NH, VT and the Adirondacks in NY.
