Dining

What is the variety of dining available in Mars Hill? Any bakeries?, farmer%26#39;s markets?

Dining

VERY limited...this is a dry county. There is a coffee shop in downtown Marshall that is supposed to be pretty nice. There is a burger and ? place across from Ingles in Marshall called Moochies. Many people come into Weaverville (15-20 min) or go to Asheville(20-25 min) or Hot Springs (20-25 min) to eat out. There is a Hardees and a Deli and a Pizza place in downtown Mars Hill.

You will probably run across roadside stands that sell seasonal fruits and vegetables. Madison County has a farmers market at Mars Hill College near Pittman Dining Hall on Saturdays from 8am-1pm. There are a few organic farmers but they probably bring a lot of there things into Asheville to sell.

Dining

hmmm Blazerz recommends the restaurant Blazerz...wonder why?

Have you been up to Mars Hill yet? I think they have passed a law allowing liquor/ABC in Madison Co. so you may soon see some more restaurant options. I%26#39;ve been to the coffee shop in Marshall (Zuma) and though the service is always slow it is a cool place to hang out. Come down to Weaverville for a nice dinner at Stoney Knob or Sunnyside.
