Am thinking about outer banks beach club in dec. What could I expect weather wise? What activites are available at that time of year?
outer banks in decDecember weather is really unpredictable. Typically the average temp is in the 50s with nighttime lows in the upper 30s/lower 40s, however over the past year Eastern NC has experienced hotter than normal weather. Last December we saw days with day time temps in the 70s.
Personally I love OBX in the fall/winter time, it is not as many people, easier to drive around, and its a little more laid back.
As far as things to do: visit the Wright Brothers Memorial, go shopping, eat out, see the lighthouses, if you have a 4WD take a drive on the beach, go fishing, go to jockey%26#39;s ridge (giant sand dune), visit the NC Aquarium in Manteo (small but nice), or relax.
outer banks in decGreat answer. Agree with everything, although its pretty busy around Christmas these days. In between Thanksgiving and Christmas is very quite.
