Places to stay on Indian Beach?

I drove through the area and it seems to be quiet - - I%26#39;m looking for a weekend getaway - - just to be able to sit and look at the ocean. Balcony off the room would be ideal. Indian Beach looked nice. Wondered if there are any motels/hotels there. Hoping for inexpensive weekend getaway. Thanks!

I%26#39;m a fan of Indian Beach, myself. There aren%26#39;t any hotels there that I know of, but you might be able to find a condo or house to rent in that area.

Thanks for your response. Have you found any hotels or motels on any of the beaches that you like? We are fairly new to NC and would love to explore the beauty of the ocean. The closer the place is to the water, where we could hear the ocean and see it from our room, the better. And when there is a balcony off the room, it is wonderful. Topsail is a place where this is possible. Wondered if there are other places.

Not sure what time of year you are looking at, but during the off season the Sheraton at Atlantic Beach has decent rates.

Hi - We%26#39;ll be going the weekend after Thanksgiving. So it will be off-season. Do you know if the Sheraton rooms have balconies and openings where you can hear the ocean?

Yes the Sheraton has balconies. Check out their website for more information. http://www.sheratonatlanticbeach.com/

That would be a great weekend to come to the area as Morehead City will be holding their flotilla and a few of the towns will be holding their Christmas Parades.

You might try Beacon%26#39;s Reach which offers rentals on the beach and sound and is a very nice development in Pine Knoll Shores, practically bordering Indian Beach. They might require a longer stay but it%26#39;s worth a try
