We are going to be in town over thanksgiving week but would love to go on a day trip to go hiking. Any suggestions?
Nearest mountain/hiking to Charlotte?
Crowder;s Mountain State Park in Gaston County ( easy to difficult, several choices). Also- easy trail at King%26#39;s Mountain National Military Park west of Charlotte. Both of these are 30-45 minutes from Charlotte. Two hours west will put you in the Pisgah National Forest - good hiking in Transylvania County. Best wishes.
