Hotel Advice Needed

Coming to Greensboro in April for a convention at the Koury Convention Center. Any advice on hotels close by that are nice and not too expensive?? There will be three of us so need a room with two beds and a sofa bed. Thanks!

I%26#39;ve stayed many times at the Residence Inn, just across High Point Road from the convention center. Clean, comfortable and reasonable. I hear that Drury Inn isn%26#39;t bad either.

Hotel Advice Needed

not far from Koury is a brand new Doubletree Hotel. It just opened, so hopefully it is nice.

Also, the Koury center is housed in a Sheraton hotel, I think.

The Doubletree mentioned in the previous post is not a brand new hotel. It is a former Howard Johnson that was recently renovated and converted into a Doubletree.

The Sheraton is at the convention center, if there are 3 of you sharing a room it could be affordable. It next to the mall and they have a shuttle service from the airport, so there would be no need to rent a car.

The Residence Inn has recently been sold, but it is close. The Doubletree is brand new. There are plenty of hotels in the area. The Marriott Courtyard is on Wendover and not far. They may have a shuttle to the Koury COnvention Center. Just off Wendover is the Hyatt Place Properties (formerly Amerisuites) suites are around $150, and absolutely gorgeous. Lots in the area as far as shops and restaurants Also off Wendover is the LaQuinta Inns.

The absolutely best hotels to stay in Greensboro is either The O%26#39;Henry Hotel or The Proximity Hotel. I have stayed at both and would highly recommend them. The Proximity just opened at the end of October. Nice sized rooms with huge windows. Very contemporary.

O%26#39;Henry has been open for a while but very nice. More on the traditional side.
